Communications

Now that you have decided you use Tixel to offer a safe resale facility to your fans, it is important to consider how to best communicate this clearly.

We  recommend

What to post on Facebook

1. Link in event description:

Eg. Can't make the gig? Buy/sell here → (link here)

We require all correct names to be on each ticket (matching your ID). Security will be checking this at the door. The only way to update the name on your ticket is through Tixel. More info on resale + FAQs here → LINK to WEBSITE FAQs HERE

2. Social/Facebook Wallpost:

RESALE REMINDER + NAMES ON TICKETS:

We require all correct names to be on each ticket (matching your ID). Security will be checking this at the door.

Website FAQ

Is there a name on ticket Policy?

{Event Name} has a name on ticket policy, meaning that the name on your ticket must match your ID. Security will be checking this as you enter the event. It is important that any ticket transfers are arranged ahead of time, or you run the risk of that ticket being invalid for your use on the day of the event. Any tickets purchased through official outlets will require you to confirm the name of each attendee before purchasing tickets.

How do I resell my Tickets if I can't attend?

Tixel provides a safe platform to resell and buy tickets. On Tixel, every ticket purchased is automatically reissued in the buyer's name. This is the authorised resale platform and the only way to comply with the name on ticket policy. Tickets purchased over Facebook, Gumtree, TradeMe, or otherwise will not gain entry to the event.

The best way to list your ticket is by following the below steps:

1.     Click on Sell my Ticket

2.     Drag in your ticket PDF

3.     Follow the prompts to list your ticket on the site.

Customer Support

It’s likely that a handful of fans will reach out privately to your customer support channels saying that they only want to transfer their ticket to a friend. It is best practice to minimise ‘offline transfers’ as they are often where scalping and fraud take place.

Tixel can provide you with a special ‘canned response’ with instruction for fans looking to give their tickets to friends. This response should only be shared privately or the risk of e-ticket fraud/scalping increases.
